Founder

Marcus Ellis

Pastor Marcus Ellis was a Native of Springfield, Ohio, and came to salvation at approximately 21 years old.
Later, he felt a call to ministry between the ages of 24 and 25.
On April 13, 1974, he married his beloved Veronica McGriff. They stayed married until his home going on October 19, 2022.

In the 1980s, as God had been dealing with him through dreams, visions, and a host of experiences, he felt called to a special work.
One particular vision as he prayed all night and proposed to God he would not let sleep come on his eyes until He spoke to him. (Psalms132:4)

The Lord Jesus Christ caught him up in a whirlwind, and he found himself racing in the spirit upward and through the atmospherical heaven. There, he saw Jesus somewhat at a distance as the whirling wind brought him to heaven and dispersed. He tried walking toward Jesus until he felt a barrier, like a force field. Jesus demanded that he preach the gospel. At first, he didn’t answer the Lord, as he came to ask some other questions that concerned him. But the Lord would not answer him, only asking him if he would preach the gospel.

Finally, he told the Lord he would. Then, the force field was removed, and he could come close to the Lord Jesus. He said that the Lord Jesus was in what seemed like a gray robe and garments and seemed to have been weeping and in travail as one in sackcloth. The Lord pointed to the earth, and he looked down. Then Christ told him the world had rejected him and the church didn’t want him.

Then he asked him if he would preach to the unsaved and bring his church back to its First Love. It was this calling that helped to start a church, and it has had an impact on people’s lives concerning the gospel. Though his work was largely unknown to some, he fulfilled a Zephaniah 3:12-13.

Throughout his life, God gave him many other spiritual truths and experiences. He had a unique ministry that everyone may have yet to understand—possessing an unshakable faith and a big heart for people. He was also given a wonderous gift of prophecy, interpretation of dreams, and flowing in a Spirit of Understanding. Unless you witnessed it for yourself, you could hardly believe how he could read the intentions of a person’s heart.

He was able to bring the fear and holiness of God into a room. While in prayer, he was known on more than one occasion to be able to tell if a person was in sin and or righteous and even the sin they were committing. In fact, he predicted some things that are still coming to pass and was humble enough to admit if he missed it. His gifts were real assets to the body of Christ and will be missed.
